Industrial roofing often has bespoke requirements compared to standard roofing, from the materials used to the size and shape of the structure, and the temperature tolerances. From flat roof coatings to spray foam roofing, metal roof repairs and roof maintenance, we provide a wide variety of commercial roofing services.
There are five types of industrial roofing to choose from, each with unique benefits:
Thermoplastic Roofing System
Commonly referred to as TPO, this is fast becoming one of the most popular forms of commercial roofing system. It delivers a high temperature tolerance, as well as UV, chemical and ozone-resistant qualities, and because it’s white it helps to reflect the sun to reduce heat build-up within the structure. TPO roofs can last up to 20 years and can withstand high winds, fires and punctures.
Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing
Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing, also known as SPF, is a liquid material that expands into a foam within seconds, forming a solid layer across the application area that makes the entire roof waterproof and air-tight. It’s eco-friendly and can tolerate any climate, lasting up to 50 years if well maintained.
EPDM Roofing System
EPDM roofing is renowned for being a versatile, durable and easy-to-install system. It is a synthetic rubber membrane that creates a protective heat and weather-resistant barrier, making it ideal for flat or shallow pitched roofing. It’s also one of the most inexpensive options for commercial roofing.
Shingle Roofing System
Shingle is typically associated with residential roofing, but it can also be used to great effect in industrial applications, providing a durable and waterproof layer. Shingles can be made from various materials, from wood, slate and plastic to metal, ceramics or asphalt, the latter of which can last up to 30 years.
Green Roofing System
Sedum green roofs have become increasingly popular in recent years, reducing the urban heat island effects and increasing the insulation value, as well as adding an aesthetic quality to an industrial space. Often referred to as living roofs, green roofing involves fitting a waterproof membrane that’s covered in soil and vegetation, extending the roof’s lifespan and providing savings on heating and cooling costs.
